Job Title: Presales Engineer
Position Overview
The Presales Engineer acts as the technical expert supporting the sales process.
Working closely with the sales, product, and technical teams, the Presales Engineer ensures that proposed solutions accurately address customer needs, demonstrate value, and can be successfully implemented.
This role bridges the gap between customer requirements and technical delivery, helping secure deals by providing technical validation and building client trust.
Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Needs Assessment
- Engage directly with potential clients to understand their business challenges and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and propose appropriate solutions.

Solution Development & Technical Support
- Design and propose tailored solutions, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with customer requirements.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to showcase product capabilities.
- Manage and execute proof-of-concept (POC) projects to validate solutions.

Sales Process Support
- Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical expertise during sales presentations, addressing technical questions and concerns.
- Act as a liaison between the sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure smooth project handover and implementation.

Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to inform solution positioning.
- Gather customer feedback and relay insights to product and development teams for continuous improvement.

Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all proposed solutions adhere to technical and regulatory standards.
- Participate in site surveys and technical audits as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a presales, technical sales, or technical support role.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts, architectures, and solutions relevant to the company’s products.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as required.
